Typically I have used the value of 0.1 but have been told in the past that taking 0.5 is more realistic and that 0.1 is on the conservative side. The detail would be checking sliding in a small residential building with the dpc between the underside of the ground floor slab and the masonry underbuild.

What value do other members usually take for this? I cannot find anything online which suggests a value.

I know I asked this question a while ago however I still can't find anything on this matter. Hope someone can possibly shed any light on this?

Thanks mg... good article.

Thanks masonry.geek that's what I'm looking for. Something to substantiate the value at least.
