i have use the program in this thread thread561-388210 for a while ,
and it work flawless.
(it change the cdf on every single file of an assembly)
Now i have change the computer
and on a new one does not work.
Any tips please.

I actualy work with NX 12.0.2.9 MP4
NX 10.0.3.5 MP3

The "UGII_ROOT_DIR" variable was phased out around NX 11 or 12. Try changing the following lines:

string rootDir = Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable("UGII_ROOT_DIR");
string colorPalette = rootDir + "\\ugcolor.cdf";

to this:

string rootDir = Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable("UGII_BASE_DIR");
string colorPalette = rootDir + "\\UGII\\ugcolor.cdf";

Nope the string that you ask me to change was already change
succesfully in somethink like that:

Does this file exist in the same location on the new computer? If this is on a network drive, is it mapped the same on the old vs the new computer?

Do you get any error messages in the interface or the log file?

According to the log file, the journal executed with no issues. Is it possible that the colors in the part already match those in the external CDF file, causing no change in the part file? If not, I'd suggest contacting Siemens support with your files so they can have a look.

work, I can see the program open all the files
(and change the colors).
I have contacted the support (ItalY)
They say that the "program" is not from NX
and they can't do nothing.
If you suggest that it should work or at least
report something, I could insist (with the Siemens support).

If the journal works on the old computer with NX2007, but does NOT work on the new computer with NX2007 that indicates that it is a configuration issue and not necessarily an NX or journal code issue. Do you still have access to the old computer to check its settings? If so, here are a few ideas in no particular order:
[ul]
[li]Check the encoding of the external CDF file. The CDF files are plain text and can be encoded in several different formats (ASCII, UTF-8, etc). I suggest using notepad++ (a free text editor) to check and convert the format, if necessary. If the CDF file has non-ASCII characters in it and it was copied over to the new computer as an ASCII file, the journal may not be able to interpret the characters properly.[/li]
[li]Similarly, check the journal file format (user interface preferences -> journal) and set it accordingly. I think this only affects the output format of the recorded journal text files, but can't hurt to make them the same.[/li]
[li]Check the version of the .net framework installed on each computer. The proper framework version should have been installed as part of the NX install, but again, it can't hurt to check.[/li]
[li]Check the "regional" settings of each computer in the Windows control panel. The journal reads values from a text file and converts them to numbers (doubles). Unless told otherwise, the .net framwork will convert them according to the current regional settings. The NXOpen API seems to expect numbers in the US format, if your regional settings are set to something else, you might need to modify the journal code to output the expected format.[/li]
[/ul]

Finally, if none of the above works, contact your local support and request that they escalate it to Siemens support. I've done this on a few occasions when I couldn't get an API function to work for me. Siemens support was very helpful in my cases.
