Common Sense came the scene a little too late for some. It's a shame someone has to get die before anything is done regulation wise. How true, The code is written in blood.
As one local politician was just quoted as saying, " Why do we need a traffic light at this intersection, only two people have been killed"

Sometimes our people call it a pain in the arse but working with natural gas in our plant was a chore. I was instrumental in getting Pyrolysis Ovens on site and since they use Natural Gas I got to attend at least 10 meetings to determine how it could be done safely. There was never any mention of cost when it came to putting the pressure reducer and deodorizer on the roof and running low pressure lines to each oven.

I dunno, seems to me that the same people that would release a bunch of gas indoors and cause an explosion would be the ones that didn't what know the codes said about it, either.

JStephen.

You just reminded me of something I heard years ago from a mechanical supervisor, If you don't know about those silly codes you don't have to go by them'.
