I would like to find a reference to check a concentrated wheel load for a 3.5" LW concrete slab over 28ga form deck. Has anyone come across a reference with eqns./commentary on this subject?

Remember that form deck is just there to support the wet concrete. After the coucrete has cured sufficiently, it takes all the load. Design it as a beam.

Composite deck takes a poriton of the load, so the example is not quite the same.

Yes, should of course ignore the deck contribution. But the load distribution as shown in the example is still viable, no?

I would think that the United Steel Deck procedure reference by haynewp would be sufficiently accurate for load distribution.

For comparison, Hambro has published a similar procedure for solid slabs in thier Technical Manual. Hambo says its procedure appears in Section 317 of the British Standard Code of Practice CP114.
