Hi folks,

We have big condenser units serving to Multi zone air handling units 8000 CFM. I need to incorporate ON/OFF of the condenser unit. What will be the correct way to do so? Condenser units has inbuilt control panel which may take input from other sources for the On/off operation.

Please advice.

The basic approach would be something like:

1. Define requirements for what you want to do.
2. RTFM for the equipment that you have.
3. Using 1 and 2 evaluate feasibility.
4. Depending on 3, do.

The sequence of 1 and 2 could be switched.

Do not attempt 4 first.

Should be triggered on/off by pressure switches, while set points need to slightly differ so that individual units go on/off one by one.

Return air temp control in the AHU is a time-honored method

Hi Willard,
There is no return to the AHU. These are 100% OA Units serving to multiple zones.
