Hello,

Could anyone tell me how to design a conical section inside a cylindrical vessel?
As an internal part, the cone is not a pressure retaining part and located close to the bottom 2:1 SE head (estimated conical depth is close to the depth of elliptical head).

Note: in Compress, the cone is treated as a transition pressure retaining part.

So, if there is no way to do it, I guess i have to add some weight on to the head.

Thanks

What is there to design?

Assuming it is shaped such that it can contain liquid, yet isn't actually pressurized, you can isolate portions and analyze as a free body as in the API-620 methods.
