Hi all,
I am looking for Canada specific standards or publications that might apply to recommended operating distances or damage thresholds for structures with respect to construction vibrations.
I have the older NRCC papers and I don't see any CSA standards that would apply but perhaps there are other national or provincial guidelines. I am also familiar with the Toronto bylaws on the subject.
The 1969 Ferahian paper for example states the following: "In Canada the velocity corresponding to the threshold of damage is taken at three inches per second". He references the 1963 Northwood paper and goes on to discuss lower thresholds.
Thanks in advance.
