Hello everyone

We intend to build a conveyor for vehicles. The problem is that the only available belt types are those of cement factories. (belt type : EP 500/4), i've been doing some caluclations, but the question is : can these belts resist the pressure of vehicle tires on them. Can we really use these belts to carry cars ?
The belt will be moving on steel rollers.
Thanks a lot for your answers

Sounds like an engineering analysis is in order. I'd recommend hiring a good Mechanical Engineer with experience in machine design.

What does the belt manufacturer say about it?

Engineering is not the science behind building. It is the science behind not building.

@EngineerTex
I mailed the manufacturer yesterday and I'm waiting for the answer.
I've been contacting many suppliers, but they don't have enough technical infos.

I have a sample of this belt, I'm thinking of doing some tests on it. Especially how much pressure it can support.

Mat top chains are used in the automotive industry - just like your picture indicates.
