I'm a project engineer involved in the design of water treatment plants (Cooling and process water) for the steel making area.
I'm looking for informations regading the design of cooling towers.
I'd like to cerate a spredsheet for the design of cooling towers but I can't find any information regard this topic.
I need examples about spreedshets and also the mass trasfer coefficients for the various tower fillings (splash, film).
Does anyone could help me?
Thanks in advance

Here is an older guide from the Dept of Energy with rule of thumb calculations that can be put into a spreadsheet. I believe it talks about mass transfer coefficients but does not have actual values (may be a manufacturer's proprietary information).

Leeper, Stephen A. "Wet Cooling Towers Rule of Thumb Design and Simulation." Dept of Energy, 1981.
