Anyone know of a way to take an Excel-Word linked pair of documents, copy them to a new pair of documents that are linked, but don't have any links to the original linked document pair?

Hi,

So what's the process for creating the new Excel & Word documents?

Do you use any VBA code to do this? If so, please post your code.

Merely copying the existing documents and giving them a new name

Are the Excel linked to the Word or the Word linked to the Excel or both?

The Word document has specific locations that are linked to specific cells in the Excel spreadsheet. I doing "Save As" for each document into a different folder with a new name. I can't figure out how to break the links to the original two documents (Excel-Word pair).

How about being forthcoming about the specific description of the state of these files before and after you rename them, or else with your drip...drip...drip approch, you may be here alone. It's gonna take a VBA solution, so fuzzy words and fuzzy logic won't work. I need a data dump. Too much info is much better than too little info.
