I have an engineer here that uses COSMOS. When used it with SW2003, he had a material database that he can call up in hi FEA part. Now he has SW2004 and the material database is gone. Does anyone know where such a database may be? My VAR does not know and his COSMOS trainer is out of town.

In order to use the "standard" Cosmos material database you have to point to the installation directory of cosmos. This can be done by clicking on "preferences" on the cosmosworks pull down menu. In "preferences" click on the material tab and point to where the material library in installed (generally in the cosmos install directory). If a "customized" material library was being used and if it was located in the cosmos install directory for cosmosworks 2003--it is now gone (hope there was a back-up). All contents of the cosmos directory for cosmosworks 2003 are deleted during the cosmosworks 2004 install since it is now considered a "new" install rather than an uprgrade---ouch--I learned the hard way. I contacted my VAR on the above glitch and they have contacted SRAC.

Thanks agbaca.
I think there was also a custom materails directory created. But the engineer that created it is not with us anymore and SW2004 somehow lost the link. Thanks again for your input.
