Anyone have rough pricing on crude oil tanks, with internal floaters? I am looking at having to build a relatively small 10,000 bbl. tank.

This is broad brush, but if you are building it in 3Q this year, I would peg it at around $510K. This is for a 10,000 bbl field erected cone roof tank in the US.

This does not include site work, foundations, etc. It is for field erection of the tank only. FYI - there is 8.5% sales tax, 5% design allowance, and a 30% material allowance calculated in. This cost is factored and extracted from a large data base of recent historical costs worldwide.

I would say that it is running on the high side, but hard to say with no more specifics.

The Rockies run from Mexico into Canada, btw.

A factored, conceptual type estimate is going to be on the side. Only with more detail will you get to a more accurate cost.

If I had to plug in a number on feasibility estimate, the $510K is a good number considering all of the unknowns, location, cost of steel, availability of contractors, etc.
