Countersunk holes vs flat patterns

Hi,

I designed a sheet metal enclosure with countersunk holes on it. When I unfold it and export it to DWG for laser cutting it always exports the largest of both circles. For example a counter sunk hole for an M3 flat head screw has an opening of 3.2mm on one face and 6.3mm on the other face. I want Inventor to export only the 3.2mm hole and not the other. I could always remove the countersinks in every feature but I find this a bit annoying as other holes aren't countersunk and I'm affraid things will get confusing.

Hi Tobie;

Turn the part into an ipart, put all the countersunk features into the feature supression tab so you can turn them off when you create a new instance

Create a new instance with all the holes turned off. Then add simple through holes 3.2 mm dia. at the same locations as your countersunk holes. Add these new holes to the feature suppression tab so you can turn them off when you return to your first instance.

You can use one instance for manufacturing purposes and still have the original with countersunk holes for your other uses.
