Not easy / impossible to tell and it doesn't look "crystal clear" to me, but more like debris from something else.

"Natural gas stream" - raw gas from a well or off the mains supply?

"PVC body" Eh?

Give us a bit of clue here.

PCV is on Natural gas main pipeline coming from fields. Distance is from field to processing facilities around 175 km. main trunk line is 30 inches dia.

Carryover quartz? from the well sand debrie itself, or it may have been introduced as proppant glass or ceramic beads during fracking. Its a bit far from the field, but not impossible to see it, especially if producing gas at a high rate through underdesigned separators.

Ah, sorry - Pressure Control Valve, not PVC. My dyslexia...

Pig dirt?

We can't feel it or have a view on other views.

Could have been in the main line for years.

Hi,
You may ask a lab to perform diffraction X analysis to characterize the material.
My 2 cents
