As far as I know templates are called from a .pax file, so that the files used are addressed according to a specific directory path and filename. Have a look at the palletes settings and then open your .pax files with a text editor and you should see what I mean.
A common use for templates is for drawing formats and to do that you may use patterns. The directory where patterns are kept is set according to and environment variable.

I know / I looked how it works / tested several things.
The filename tag in the *.pax file.
Can I redirect to Pax file located in an other folder...
change the from ugs tepmlate pax file to my own in the file new dialog.

If you've established a UGII_USER_DIR folder, place your .pax file in the 'Startup' folder at that location and it will replace the system's default .pax file.

How to redirect 3D Master model template?
My customer demand that all jobs have to be provided on his seed parts.
I would like to call to my(or my customer) templates from;
1) File==>New,
2) Assemblies==>Components==>Create New
3) or Wave==>Create linked part.
How to do in native mode (not under TcEng). It is possible? (GTAC claimed that it is possible only under TcEng)
I know how to call drawing templates and modeling templates from palletes but it not works when I need create part according to point 2,3.

Yes, items 2 and 3 will probably require TeamCenter to do it properly and consistently.

I may be misunderstanding your questions, but just to make sure we're on the same page, what you do is to copy the .pax file to any directory of your choice, I have edited several versions for different customers. Then you go into Perferences>Palletes and you add or remove palletes of your choosing from there, by browsing to the directory where you saved different .pax files. NX remembers your palletes for next time based on whatever you last had opened.
Whether you can swap between customers using roles or not is a different prospect that I'm yet to dabble in.
What you could do is to launch NX using a batch file so that if you have a file called "metric_drawing_templates.pax" that contains your drawing formats for customer A, and then you create another file of the same name in a different directory for customer B, then you could replace the file on disk with a saved copy from elsewhere depending on which customer environment you want to work with.
There are probably other ways to achieve this. As I said I'm not sure I'm on the right track, but let us know if it helps.

As I understand it people like to set up model templates and perhaps they more or less have a list of the, for different customers. The reason that this has limited effectiveness is that the creation of new parts can draw on files from more than one place. What you need to do is to set all your customer defaults to site setting and then use files based on those setting to create all your template files for models and drawings.
You probably also want to create empty inch and metric files to replace the translator "null" files. To find these do a search for *null*.prt in the UG install directory.

I set up diffrent directories for each customer (eg difrent env files, custom symbols etc) and UG relase (I had problem with menu files NX2& NX4, users have own folder with saved menu files UGII_DEFAULT_MENU_DIR). UG is run by batch files.

If you give your .pax file the same exact name as the system one, I think it will override the original.

I had copied the files from the ugii/template dir to the startup folder of the UGII_USER_DIR ( same filenames different folder). The result was that I had two tabs for modeling and drawing one was connected to the orginal in UGII dir the other from the new location...
what did I wrong?

You may have to delete the original one from the UGII folder.
