Dam stability analysis - Gravity method vs Finite element method

Hello I am doing a stability analysis for a dam using two methods, gravity method (CADAM3D) and finite element method (SAP2000).
The first method shows that there is cracking at the base joint. But the finite element method shows that there is no cracking and there is no need fo reinforcement.
I double checked both of the models and I can not find any erros. Is this normal? or should both methods show same results.

It's been a while since I've done a gravity dam analysis, and I never used SAP2000. I would check the boundary conditions of the FEA model to see how it is processing the interaction with the foundation when there is computed tension.
