The partial collapse is a sad event. I have seen some partial floor plans of the Davenport apartment. I would love to see a complete set or at least the full sheet(s) of these legacy plans. Has anyone been able to locate them online?

The following link is for various documents including the engineering reports to fix/repair the walls:
Also, I am perplexed why the original engineers used steel framing everywhere except the exterior or at least the collapsed west wall, they let beams bear on the masonry walls/piers.

I like to hear your thoughts on this disaster.

Regards,
Lutfi

Lufti - that's an old building. If I recall from the photos correctly, they're riveted steel shapes. That system was very popular once upon a time. Most of the buildings in my downtown area older than about 1940 are similar to that.
