I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out where to find specs of a motor with very little markings. The 12v DC motor comes out of a 5 Oceans 4" in-line blower. I cannot find any specs on it and the company has not returned my emails or calls. The only marks on the motor say "S-60933E157". I've searched everywhere I can think with no results. So I turn to you, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Is it a replacement you need? Does the original motor work? Or do you need the data for some other purpose?

There are different approaches depending on what the answer is.

Half full - Half empty? I don't mind. It's what in it that counts.

The original motor works great. For my R&D application it is the best fan I have found, so I am trying to find the same motor but as a AC unit instead of DC. If nothing else, a very close match. So I was hoping that the "S-60933E157" would tell someone (more knowledgable than myself) some information about the motor or at least where to find the specs.

There can be a world of difference between an AC motor and a DC motor. It is not just as easy as selecting the "AC" option. You may be better off trying a few AC motors to see how they work.

You could of course use the DC motor you like, fed from AC via a bridge rectifier and optional big smoothing capacitor.

@7anoter4 yes, that is the blower. @logbook ok I will start trying that. I wasn't sure if it would be a better starting place to have the HP and RPM of the motor. Thanks everyone for your help.
