I would like to connect two points with spring-like elements, one spring parallel and one spring perpendicular. (note: the springs have the same coördinates)
Model 1:
The first thing i did was using Spring2 elements: First i defined a CSYS at an angle of 45 degrees, because this is perpendicular to the force. I coupled point a to point b first en used spring orientation 1 (parallel), than i coupled point a to point b for the second time and used spring orientation 2 (perpendicular). So far so good and the results looks great.
Model 2:
But now i would like to use non-linear springs and therefore i need to use connectors. Again i drew a wire feature between point a and b, created a section by using the section manager and selected translational type: axial. After that i used the connection section assignment manager to pick the wire feature between point a and b, as orientation i used the global CSYS (modified with 45 degrees) (parallel to force). After this i did the same things again for the perpendicular spring but now i used a modified CSYS with -45 degrees. For one or another reason, this doesn't work. : (zero pivot warnings)
Model 3:
After this i tried to model it in an another way. I defined a wire feature between point a and b, and now i selected the cartesian connecter type. But this also doesn't work. (negative eigenvalues and zero pivot warnings)
Who can help me with this problem?
