'Deploy' Frame/Title block script

Hello,

Like many I've been responsible for creating my company's Frame/TitleBlock Macro, and it's becoming a powerful beast (compared to the normal way of creating the frame etc) and I'm slowly getting better at writing code!

However, I currently have to send the script to all the CAD users and get them to post it in the FrameTitleBlock folder in their directories, and this inevitably ends up with people pasting it wrong, or not doing it etc.

I recently learned how to 'push' the edited company design standards via Data Setup workbench and it worked a treat. I wondered if there was any way to do the same with the Frame/Title Block files? This would enable me to make modifications on my end, and then push out the updated script as and when, rather than holding off to make sure I've done 'enough' to warrant an 'I've-updated-the-file-please-copy-and-paste-it' email

I can't see an obvious alternative in the Data Setup process, but perhaps someone can point me in the right direction to how it might be done please?

Thank you
A

Set up CATIA on users' PC to look into a shared network folder for a titleblock script via Tools> Options> Mechanical Design> Drafting> Layout tab

This setting can be propagated automatically via administrative settings mechanism.

I can't seem to do that. Sorry, I should have said I'm talking about 3dExperience, rather than V5. I have found there's a Dress-up Templates section in the Preferences, but i cannot point it towards the CATScript I have locally on my computer...

Where can you point it? Ask your administrator or refer to documentation on how to make it work, because this is the best way to go.

The DS title block which you show in the capture is located here, and you need administrative right to write there c:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\B425_Cloud\win_b64\VBScript\FrameTitleBlock\

In DS Academic community, I've modified a custom script, you can see it here https://r1132100503382-eu1-3dswym.3...00503382:communitypost:A2OEn7VnSxOar7UjZ3yTCA
