Desig procedure of inlet distributors

I want to know about the procedure of Inlet fluid distributors design for a process vessel

Liquid liquid distributors and gas liquid distributor.

These items are often specilised items often patented e.g. the Shell Shoepentoether (or something like like). The evndors will design the item.

Your company engineering standard may tell you something - or at least what to specify. The Shell DEP for separators gives some details with regard to the Shoepentoether.
