Detail View disappearing on creation (NX10)

Folks, i am going nuts

I am using NX10.0.3.5
I am in Drafting with a simple part and regular sections throughout
I then wish to add a detail view and on creation the Detail view disappears ( in fact it hides away and can be seen with a CTRL-SHIFT B )
does anyone know where i should look to fix this so that it appears on my drawing as intended

Hello,
Check your work layer in Menu-->Format-->Layer settings. (all new object you create will be placed on this layer)
By default it should be 200. If it is different maybe this other layer is set to invisible on your view. Check the "Layer Visible in View" for the whole sheet.
