Device which drives chain for conveyor with the use of motor and gear

Hi All

I am exploring for device which drives chain of the conveyor.Many companies are using cam follower devices now but it seems to be very expensive and unreliable.

The max pull to drive is 2650 N with the use of motor and gear box.

So please give me some great ideas.

Type of conveyor: Conveyor system (which pulls the chain)
Weight to lift:68 kg
Max driving pull:2650 N
Speed 12 meter/min

i want any concept which pulls the chain with the use of geared motor.many companies use cam follower to push the change.i don't want that system.i want alternative of that.

pl give me ideas/concepts

How does this chain drive the conveyor and how would a cam do it? Unless it is oscillatory or intermittent. I'm confused. Maybe you should explain this setup better or draw it.

I guess I'm missing something. We drive our conveyor chains with a sprocket on a motor shaft, much like a bicycle.
