i was reading the book and they used 3 different natural rubber for breaker compound, i wonder why they are using this 3 type of natural rubber . i tried to find on internet but could'nt find the satisfying answer . is this because of the cost ? then why they dont go for rss 3 . please anyone can tell what is the major difference between this 3 grade rubber ?

RSS3 is Ribbed Smoked Sheet grade 3. It comes in "big bales" weighing approximately 1ton. It must be free of mould, dry, clean, strong, sound, evenly smoked. It must be free from blemishes, resinous material, sand, dirt, etc, although slight specks and well-scattered small bubbles are acceptable as is slight amounts of resinous matter, and dry mould (<10% of bales inspected)and slight specs of bark are acceptable also. It needs a great deal of mixing to reduce it's viscosity to an acceptable level before it can be used in breaker compounds which makes it very expensive overall.

SVR3L is a latex grade of Standard Vietnamese NR that has a very low dirt content (<0.03%). It is available in 33kg bales making it much easier to handle. I would use this grade only for light coloured rubber products such as hot water bottles, etc.

SVR10 is a Standard Vietnamese NR with a dirt content <0.08%. It is also available in 33kg bales.

Of these three grades I would be inclined to use SVR10 because it's relatively low cost compared to the other 2 grades and much better suited for use in mass production.
