Differential test plan for P632

Hi,
We are currently testing a new Transformer Protection scheme and have come up agaianst a brick wall in trying to write a test plan for our Doble 6150 using protection suite 2.2 to get the bias plot. I am unsure of what
I have found a template for a different relay type that I hoped to be able to tweak to suit our settings but have failed. There are testplan settings in that one that I do not know how they relate to our settings.
What I would like is a copy of a setting file and the associated test plan so I can correlate the settings from one to the other and make our settings fit the right shaped curve. Maybe even just a clue from someone on the right settings for testplan.

Hi

Have you tried to contact doble ? I would assume they should provide you support for this type of problem if you have purchased their test equipment. Ideally like you said you need to understand how they derive their bias characteristic in both the relay and test set software. Personally I mainly only work with omicron test universe , and their approach is using XRIO converters based on relay setting sheets pretty straight forward (but sometimes there are problems specifically with diff characteristics). Sometimes the relays use two different slopes for in and out of zone faults as well some compensation for errors etc. You could see if Doble supports XRIO importing and check omicron's PTL (protection test libary) for Test Routines for the P632. If I can recall I might have a one on my network but not 100% sure will need to check, and like I said tested it with an omicron.

Thanks warwickwrx. I will be contacting doble next week, they are very good at support, I just thought someone may have some insight to the issue. The test plan I found has some odd settings that I don't understand what they relate to. I was in contact with Schneider last week about another issue I had and didn't think about asking them for p632 diff help ( wasn't at that testing point so wasn't aware of what I was walking into). They did mention in passing that it can be tricky. It's a very powerful relay, lots of features. I have worked out all other tests, it's now just the diff that I need to sort out.
I am enjoying the challenge of the testing, but don't reanalysed want to reinvent the wheel due to the tight timeframe before commissioning.
I appreciate your reply. I will check out if they use XRIO files or something else similar.... I hadn't considered that.
