Dimension Stretching/Movement

Guys,

I have a problem with my dimensioning in AutoCAD mechanical 2006. I want to stretch a horizontal dimension but everytime I select the dimension I want to stretch it moves the whole dimension. I can however stretch it over using the grip edit but I then have to stretch the line I want to redimension and then grip edit stretch the dimension also.

I searched and found this thread555-118289 which is what is happeneing to me anyone know if there is a fix?

Further to this I think it may have something to do with grip association. If you draw a new line and dimension it up you pick the end points of the line. The dimension grip then associates itself with the grip point of the line so when you stretch the line and dimension it, it works. I have however opened the same drawing on a different machine and the stretch command works which means a question mark still hangs over this whole thing.

Sussed it...you need to install Autocad Mechanical 2006 service pack 2.
