While in the .dft environment, I find it impossible to align the dimensions unless they are horizontal or vertical. How do I allow the dimension to show a true length between two points when there is an angle involved. It seems to want to default to horizontal or vertical.
Any help would be much appreciated on how to align the dimension.

Are you using Smart dimension or the standard dimension function?

For smart dimensions, you will get the shortest distance between the two points.

For the other dimensions, make sure you have "Between 2 Points" selected in the ribbon bar. It is a choice in the pop-down list that is normally "horizontal/vertical."

Thanks for the tip Swertel. It is just what I needed. I looked at every pull down and it was hidden in front of me.
