Dear All,

As per F.4 API STD 650, DLR is defined as "the nominal weight of roof plate plus any structural members attached to the roof plate"

Does the structure below roof plate is considered as "any structural members attached to the roof plate"? E.g Roof Structure.

Or the statement only applies the structure above the roof plate? E.g Roof walkway, Roof platform, etc

Help please! Thanks!

Thanks for your help.
One last question, i'm still using the 12th edition Addendum 2,2016.
When we calculate uplift loads, W1 and W2 are the same in case of tank with supported cone (roof without column)
And we shall consider the dead load roof plate in W1 contrary to the 11th edition 2007 Addendum 1.

Always use the current edition of any Code. Do not try to mix and match from older Codes.

That said, the 11[sup]th[/sup] and 12[sup]th[/sup] Edition rules for the uplift under design pressure in Table 5-21 are actually identical. If you look at the formula for 11[sup]th[/sup] there is a term 0.08t[sub]h[/sub] for SI and 8t[sub]h[/sub] for USC, which is the corroded roof plate weight. The 12[sup]th[/sup] Edition has moved this weight into the W1 term, and left the user to calulate it.
