Hi,
I have a question regarding paragraph 7.9.4 of DNV RP B401 (October 2010 eddition, ammended April 2011).
It states: "7.9.4 For long and short slender stand-off anodes consumed to their utilisation factor, a length reduction of
10% shall be assumed. Furthermore, assuming that the final anode shape is cylindrical, the final radius shall be
calculated based on this length reduction, and the final anode mass/volume as explained in (7.9.3)."
From the interpretation of above paragraph, my question is: what is the final anode length? Is it
[ul]
[li]Lfinal = Linitial - (0.1 * Linitial)?[/li]
[li]Or can it be interpreted as Lfinal = Linitial - (0.1 * u * Linitial)[/li]
[/ul]
where u = utilization factor
