Does anyone have test data for J bolts?

I have combed the internet for J-bolts test and have not found anything related to smooth J-bolts similar to those used for foundation bolts.

What kind of test? Why do you need a test when you can calculate allowable values by code?
 
Im particularly interested in J-bolts in concrete which can fail in either pullout, steel, splitting, or concrete breakout. The code concrete breakout equations from ACI 318 were developed from undercut and headed bolt tests and were applied to J and L bolts. I have not found a single test that confirmed that these code equations also predict L and J bolt concrete breakout behavior.
 
Is this for a steel column or for a sill plate on a wood framed building? If it's for steel, AISC prohibits use of j-boolts on columns with uplift or overturning forces, but they are suitable for gravity columns and resisting oveturning from erection loads.

Edit: I read the thread you posted and it referenced a metal building erection failure due to poor bracing, where they used j-bolts that contributed to the failure. The overturning erection loads I'm referring to is the OSHA load specifying the 300 lb load 18" away from the column.

I am evaluating hooked bolts used to anchor equipment like pumps and tanks in nuclear facilities. Hooked bolts were popular in the first and second generation power plants. I did hear about the failure of the metal frame building, very interesting article. I am familiar with the Breen paper. It is part of my study. Its a unique case because of the proximity to the edge. I was hoping to find J bolt specific tests in concrete pads without edge distance concerns. Still no luck.

that's how engineering works. products need to be qualified.
why answer a question with another question when you're ignorant with the regards to the topic at hand?
 
Hardworker87, thank you. This paper is also part of my study. It has great information on pullout strength of L-bolts. J-bolts with concrete failure still eludes me.
