Drafting Error Message (86)

Greetings:

I have inherited a design that has drafting and the drafting has issues when trying to Update. When I update, many views bring up an error log that reads "The view break will result in Hidden Lines (86)". Can anyone help me understand what has occurred with these views and if this can be resolved easily?

Yes. This is a Bug which has been around since Siemens has implemented the new "View Break" style (NX8.5 or NX9 I believe). Unfortunately it hasn't been fixed yet (NX12).
What happens is that center-lines of type 2D will be hidden when such a view is updated.
There is a workaround for this. When you place such a 2D center-line in a Break View you should use the "By Points" option instead of "From Curves.
