Drag Coeefficients + Aerodynamic Shape Factors

Hi There,

I am working on the wind loading guide and am at the last stage of calculating design wind pressure for Overhead Lines.

For the calculation of Aerodynamic Shape Factors, I need to find the drag force coefficient for concrete pole.

Is there anyone who has worked on it before who can guide me please.

In my opinion drag coefficient is not a problem for a conical pole.
From my experience find pls. attached jpg [something about].
I have not an Overhead Line Mechanical Handbook but I am sure you may find one in your vicinity.

The pole is considered a rectangle for this calculation.
The link you give does not use a drag coefficient for rectangular poles. There is no drag coefficient directly stated, so I assume they are using 1.0, which is for round poles. A flat surface would use 2.0. I assume that the OP's main concern is the concrete, which is not as smooth as steel. I don't know the answer to that. I'd suggest checking with a concrete pole manufacturer.
