Hi, everyone!
I'm checking strength of beam structures using SAP2000. After upgrading to version 25.3.0, when I try to create a node by Draw Special Joint, I receive the message "An abnormal condition has occurred,” and SAP2000 terminated. This error occur everytime use Draw Special Joint but not occur with other commands. Additionally, I was able to create nodes in version 25.1.0 by same method.
I contacted CSI, but they responded that they could not reproduce the phenomenon.
If you know a solution, please let me know. Thank you.

I feel like every time I get a crash like this, it is because I am modeling in 3D. Try placing the joint in a plan/elevation view - worth a go haha.

Also - try both graphics modes (Standard vs DirectX), crashes seem to occur more often in DirectX, anecdotally

Luceid, thank you for your comment. I tried Draw Special Joint in the 2D-View, but I still get the same message. Also, I usually use Classical Plus (Standard?) for the graphics mode, but I tried DirectX and got the same result.
As shown in the right figure, modeling using the grid works without any issues. Generally, when you want to place a node at any arbitrary position, don’t you use Draw Special Joint?

Interesting - that's annoying! I usually just use the replicate and move tools to copy joints that already exist from frames, shells etc. This is surprising though, I have definitely used the special joint tool.

According to the release notes, it was found that this issue only occurs in version 25.3.0. It seems to have been resolved in version 25.3.1. I have just updated the version, but I plan to upgrade again when I have time. Thank you, Luceid and everyone.
