Drill bit chart?

I once saw a drill bit chart that had something like 12 or 16 different drill bits on it. It was about 11” x 18". It had nice colored pictures a couple of inches high showing the difference in drill bit grinds. It explained the different kinds of grinds and where they should be used. This literally had more kinds of drill bit grinds on it than I knew existed.

I'm looking for something similar and would appreciate it if anyone could recommend something.

I have found quite a bit of information online that explains four or six kinds of grinds but nothing as complete as this was.

Not a chart but Dormer have some good information on their website that might help.

Indeed, and in addition:
Dormer also provides large wall posters with this info, which have what you need in several threads (metric, UNC/UNF, NPT, PG, ...)

Never seen the chart you describe, Tom. Would like to see it, if you come across it again. Beyond the Machinery's Handbook, you can look at makers of drill sharpening equipment for some of the more standard info. regarding drill point angles, rake angles, split point vs. unsplit point. The wikipedia article on drill bits offers some info. on point, relief, etc. angles for different materials.

Guhring catalog has some info. too, and they have a variety of patented point styles, e.g. for cast irons - not sure how much technical info. is there on the website, but you might be able to look up their patents for more details. Pg. 294 of the catalog defines a lot of the detailed pointing/rake/etc. angles and such, but I can't find where they define limits for those angles, etc. for the various drill styles. Page 308 has some interesting info. on rake angle vs. thermal camera images. Pg. 315 says the "special" point geometries and tolerances are defined in DIN 1412, might be worth a look. Finally, the latter portion of the catalog talks about recommended drill bit types, speeds and feeds, for a pretty comprehensive variety of materials.
