Hello,

We have a pole top recloser with an Eaton from 6 control loop scheme. It lost AC due to an outage and the DC battery back up failed the battery ended up being dead. Now the Loop scheme disabled light is on and the Loop scheme reset light is on. We changed out the battery and checked voltages and all is well. We pushed the LS reset button but nothing happened. Does anyone know how to get the LS enabled again?

Thanks for any help!

Update: we were able to have this reset via SCADA. I’m still confused as to why we couldn’t reset using the reset button but SCADA could reset it.

I can't remember, but local control of the reset may be disabled if under SCADA control. I'd check with Cooper - they are generally pretty helpful.

You may have to press the change button first

Hello,

We did press the change button first. Apparently if supervisory is enabled it doesn’t allow us to change the loop scheme. In order to reset the loop scheme we have to disable Supervisory first.
