Hello,

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a spreadsheet for eccentric bolt group and weld group calculations? I tried to look for available spreadsheets for the Canadian s16:19 but was unable to find it. I find the programming of my own spreadsheet to be far too confusing and time consuming. So far I have been using the tables given in the handbook but there are often situations I run into where I cannot use those tables, or require to use loading cases from the AISC tables which also sometimes does not meet my set up. Any info or help regarding the matter would be much appreciated. Thank you!

What is a sample of these unique configurations that you can't find tables for? I know there is an elastic bolt group analysis spreadsheet on steeltools.org that might be of use.

The most simple example would be say two columns of bolts where the horizontal and vertical pitch is out of range in the table.

Thank you skeletron, I will take a look!

You can use the Weld Group and Bolt Group tools found at Structural Central, which I created. Both tools include the elastic and inelastic (instantaneous center of rotation) methods and generate all of the supporting calculations. You have to create an account, which is free to do, in order to access the tools.
