Edge Weld Callout?

Actually, that doesn’t look like a piece of equipment that I would use stitch welds on. If you don’t know how to call the weld out, how on earth did you determine its size, and what kind of weld is it? What are the loads, forces and moments on the various pieces and on those particular welds?

It looks like the welds are only holding a spacer in place, the holes look like they go through both pieces, and are also partially resting on the base plate.

I'd put in a groove weld and grind it flush.

The outer rectangular plates are in fact spacers. I can have any weld length/size between the long uprights and the spacers. 4 structural bolts are passing through the two short plates and two upright long plates. These are sized for the loads and moments. No issue.

A simple tack weld could be used too. How is that called out? I don't need anything overkill...
