Edit 3-D Sketch

I am new to solid works 3-D sketching. I am up to speed on sketching but am at a loss on how to modify the dimensions I add to the sketch. I double-click dimension with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you able to double-click and edit dimensions in 2D sketches?

I am having a heck of a time using 3-D sketch. I am attempting to design a wire clip, cross-section is 2 mills. It has different angles and planes. Should I use line function or spline function?

You stated you are new to SWX 3D sketching. I suggest you invest in some time to study the tutorials, Help files and online resources.

Next , you might look at what you are trying to do and see if the 3D sketch is the best way to go. I have been using SWX since it came out and in all honesty I rarely need to use a 3D sketch. For one thing 2D sketches are dramatically easier to work with and for another thing I've found that most of what I need to do can be done using the 2D sketches.

I almost always use 2D sketches to create and control 3D sketches.
If you can tie a knot .....

Also, I find that it helps to split the screen into four views when screwing around with 3D sketches. Much easier to tell where the heck you are in space that way.
