One more question,

I have a projected curve ( equal arclenght ) in NX2 with some curves in the same projection.

Now I want to remove one of the curves in the projection. If I try to remove that one specific curve, the complete projection is removed.

Does anybody know, how to do that ?

Thanks,

Sebastian

Hi Sebw

I'm on NX1 and to do that I edit paramtre of the projected curve and I clic the curve that i want to remove with shift kick down. try it! It operate on NX1

Dear Damien,

I do not seem to be able to do that. When I want to edit the parameters of the projection the edit projection curve window comes up. But now I can not select any of the curves in the projection.

I can only select the curve as an general object, but if I wabt to delete it - the complete projection gets deleted.

Thanks for the help,

Sebastian

Sebastian,

You may have already done this or it may not apply in this case, but if you remember, there are 2 icons on the Project dialog. The first icon is for point/curve set. The second icon is for the face/plane set. When you did the Edit Parameters for the Projection, was the first icon highlighted when you tried to remove the curve from the selection set with Shift+MB1 (deselect)? If not, try it to see if that makes any difference.

Dear Damien, Dear Tim,

I tried some more and found the following.

I can select the curve like Damien mentioned. Like this it gets removed from the curve projection as a paramenter.

But it still remains on the face. I can select it now seperately, as a general object. But still I am not able to delete it ? Very strange.

The first icon is highlited when selecting the curve. But I can only select the originl curve not the projected one.

Well, I guess another one I have to live with.

Thanks for the help,

Sebastian

With the first icon highlighted, deselect the curve you no longer want to project (shift click). This curve will no longer be used in the projection.

Since it is an associative projection, to delete one of the projected curves you must deselect the original projected curve you no longer want (not simply delete the projected curve).

Dear Cowski,

this is what I did. I deselected the original.
But the projected curve still remains as a spline on the face. You can select it now as a general object, but not delete it. It is not any longer a part of the project curve.

I can only deselect that original, but not delet it since that curve is still needed.

Thanks,

Sebastian

What is the projected curve used for (ie does it have children features)? If it is still being used by something it will not let you delete it so easily (thank goodness).

Also, when you did the projection did you use the associate, move, or copy option?

The projected curve I want to delete is not used for anything anymore. Its there by its self and has no children features.

The projection is equal arclength - associative.

Hi all,

tried again same procedures and now, for the first time it seems to work.

Thanks to all
