good day folks,
I am exploring options for screening option for submersible type effluent pump station
daily flow 1500 m³/day
we have relative deep invert level on in -feed pipe
options

-manual incline bar screen [ not deemed feasible due to depth of in-feed]
-mechanical rake screen [ maintenance & capex intensive
-basket screen with guide & hoist

currently considering basket screen 40mm bar spacing in guide rail and electric hoist
what is your past experiences with basket screen for this application or other suggestions?

thks in advance

You might be better looking or paying in the water treatment and distribution forum under civil engineering.

This forum is more about the actual pump.

Screens are not easy to get right but you do need to understand what type and quantity of material you're trying to remove and what size is acceptable to let through

It all depends on what coming into the sump, you have not made this clear, effluent???

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)
