One of my junior colleagues asked the following question:

As discussed, I need some info on edductors (they sometimes called steam ejectors). As part of my project I have to determine the efficiency of the edductors and determine possible ways of increasing their efficiency, but there's no much info available on them. There are no design specs to measure the efficiency against.

Can anyone tell me where to get info?

If you can get hold of a copy of A Working Guide to Process Equipment by Lieberman and Lieberman (McGraw-Hill) you'll find on chapter 16 (Vacuum Systems Steam Jet Ejectors) a very instructive explanation of the workings of steam ejectors.
