Hello, Is it possible to change where NX looks for the ugroute_elec.xml location? I'm trying to open Electrical Routing and I get a warning stating that it can't open the application view. It then gives a location where to look, but it's the wrong address. Thanks

I don't use the routing applications, so I'm not sure this is what you are looking for; but you can define the folder paths for the routing applications in the customer defaults (routing -> part library -> specification folders).

Hi,

You can arrange this in your ugii_env.dat file. Below an example of what we have for Mechanical Routing

Code:
UGII_ROUTE_MECH_KIT_DIR=\\YourPath\UGROUTE_MECH
UGII_EPLIB_PART_LIB_VIEW_PATH=${UGII_ROUTE_MECH_KIT_DIR}\appview
UGII_ROUTE_MECH_APP_VIEW=${UGII_ROUTE_MECH_KIT_DIR}\appview\[b]ugroute_mech_metric.xml[/b]
UGII_EPLIB_TABLE_PATH=${UGII_ROUTE_MECH_KIT_DIR}\metric\tables
UGII_ROUTE_MECH_PART_PATH=${UGII_ROUTE_MECH_KIT_DIR}\metric\parts
UGII_ROUTE_BEND_TABLES_PATH=${UGII_ROUTE_MECH_KIT_DIR}\metric\tables

Very good info. Thanks! I modified the ugii_env.dat on my local drive, but when I select Application -> Electrical, I still get a Routing warning saying it can't load application view and then it references a syslog file and a location on a network drive. Is there a way to force NX to look at ugii_env.dat on my local drive?

Hello, Just an update. Our helpdesk got back to me and had me add an address for a mapped network drive into the "Manual Entries" area of the UG Application Selector. That fixed the problem. Thanks for the info.
