'Lightning' Ben Franklin demonstrated one of these way back when. This startup thinks they might have some uses, benefit in particular is that they don't need much copper or rare earths.

I'm not convinced it passes the sniff test, it looks like any number of Australian novel engine startups, but the idea that it can hold position at a very small current drain is rather nice for robotics etc.

The greatest advancement in electric motors In 200 years is a motor that resists being a motor. That's an interesting statement to make.

The BS bell rings with the proprietary dielectric fluid. Being dielectric does not make a fluid special.
