Elements have missing property definitions??

I am quite new to ABAQUS but..

I am trying to submit a job and I keep getting the same error, "400 elements have missing property definitions"

As far as I know I have created the appropriate section but maybe not. I created the section but im not sure if I need to assign it to the parts? I have two parts so do they both need to be assigned to the one section somehow?

You need to assign the *section* to the *parts* (or regions within the parts if you have partitioned them), not the the way around.

The thing is im not sure how to actually assign the section to the parts? When I create the section I dont ever get any option on assigning it to the part and I havnt been able to find it when I try to edit the section either?

If you're using CAE then the 'Assign Sections' is in the property module, underneath the 'Create Sections'. Once you've assigned the section then the part will go from grey to a turquoise colour.
