I am trying to deal with a bloated DWG drawing in Draftsight that literally has thousands of "Layer Filters" that are not used for any practical purpose and are the cause of the file bloat. Is there a slick way to eliminate these? In the days when I used autocad there was a script called CDGPurge that would do the trick...

I would entertain any solution: exporting, deleting and anything that would retain the drawing elements (lines, blocks, used layers)...

Sadly "Clean" does not touch the layer filters and deleting them one at a time with mouse clicks is not a practical solution.

Thanks for your help!

I found out that I can:

1) Copy with Reference Point
2) Select All
3) Open a New drawing
4) Paste clipboard contents into the new drawing using the same reference point

This technique does not transmit the layer filters...
