Hello, I am using NX 7.5 for making electrical routing schemes and there is this 'Engagment' tab when you are qualifying a part for routing in Fitting or Multi port assignment. If anyone could suggest me where I can find some tips as how I can use it shall be of great help. Thanks

When you connect a cable to a fitting, ( connector etc) the engagement value tells how far into the connector that the cable should go. i.e, you pick the point ( normally a port which sits at the opening end of the connector) and then the engagement adds the distance past that point.
It should be documented in the NX manual under the qualify chapter.

That worked out for me. I went through the chapter to get a clearer idea but there is one small thing I need a tip on. For Routing Electrical once you have a cable connected to a component the engagment inserts the cable but when I split the cable to wires the engagment alligns the wires along with the multiports defined. Can I define engagment for the multi ports also since thats the thing I want to do. Previously I was just slicing the components to assign the multiport inside the component.

Thanks
