Can someone point me to an engineering standard for nylon screws?

Out of curiosity, what applications are nylon screws typically used for?
 
We used to use them for attaching fiberglass wingtip fairings on low observable aircraft.

What do you need the fasteners for? Why must they comply with a standard?

WKTaylor-Thank you. That's perfect.

Tbuelna-I've used them in applications that are near sensitive electronics, where conduction would be problematic. I've also used them as frangible fasteners.

drawoh-See above for typical uses. It's typical of my company to use standard parts for a system that is entering production, as I believe is the case with most aerospace.
