Im a newbie in etabs, i have some clarification regarding the design moment used by etabs in designing the beams, when I open the
envelope data, its shows 2 moment in a section (support location), moment for top and moment for bottom. This 2 moments from different
load combination. From what I learn in designing manually we use only one design moment for designing the beam in that section, and also
1 load combination? can someone explain why there are 2 moments in the evenlope for that section. Thank you.

One corresponds to the maximum value of the envelope, on its minimum. Normally these are both same, apart from cases that include seismic response spectrum loads, where this load is considered one time positive (Max value) and one time negative (min value).

Analysis and Design of arbitrary cross sections
Reinforcement design to all major codes
Moment Curvature analysis

two values represent the maximum and minimum moments...maximum tension and maximum compression during reversal of loads
