Would like suggestions for text or workbook, etc. with sample industrial ventilation problems.

Even when I was in college at Ohio State, our professor didn't have a good text book. In fact, she used the ASHRAE Fundamentals book as the text book. She also used a supplemental book that is mostly the same but maybe a few different examples, and organized a little different. You may be able to find these at ASHRAE's web site. The supplemental book was called "Principles of HVAC".

While it is good to know how to do it by hand, there are a number of computer programs which will make more difficult industrial system design a lot easier. ASHRAE may even have some of those listed on their web site.

"Industrial Ventilation" a Manual of Recommended Practice published by the American Conference of Government Industrial Hygienists is good reference for industrial ventilation design.

If you want to calculate the external static pressure drop for an distribution system then I recommend using Carrier handbook. SMACNA & ASHRAE are very tedious. [sig][/sig]
