Excavation and Backfilling with ABAQUS

Hi There,

I am wondering what is the best way to model soil nailing wall system as staged construction in ABAQUS? I mean in such cases we have to active and remove elements in different stage. But I do not know why I always ran into problem.

Could you please direct me or take a look at my file?
